For Those Whose Rest Does Not Restore Them
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Psalm 73:26
This week, we are praying for those who sleep but awaken exhausted, those whose strength disappears after ordinary activities, and those still searching for answers.
When the body does not recover as expected, discouragement can weigh on the heart too. But God does not measure our worth by how much we accomplish. He sees the effort hidden inside each day, and He remains our strength when we have none left to manufacture.
Let Us Pray
Lord, please draw near to everyone living with exhaustion that rest does not relieve.
Guide the medical professionals caring for them. Bring answers where there is uncertainty, effective treatment where it is possible, and practical support for the tasks they cannot manage alone.
Give each exhausted person wisdom to recognize their limits, courage to seek help, and freedom from guilt when their body requires rest. Strengthen caregivers and loved ones with patience and compassion.
When physical strength does not return, be the strength of their hearts. Remind them that they are still known, deeply loved, and never alone.
