This week, we are praying for those who live with chronic pain.
For the ones who wake up tired before the day even begins.
For the ones who measure every errand, chore, outing, and conversation against the pain that may come afterward.
For the ones who smile through discomfort because explaining it again feels exhausting.
For the ones who miss who they used to be.
Chronic pain can be lonely because so much of it happens behind the scenes. People may see someone functioning and assume they are fine. But God sees the whole story. He sees the effort, the tears, the frustration, the grief, and the courage it takes to keep going.
We are also praying this week for the people of Venezuela after the twin earthquakes. We pray for those who are grieving, injured, missing loved ones, displaced from their homes, or waiting for help. We pray for rescue workers, medical teams, families digging through heartbreak, and communities facing shock, fear, and loss.
Scripture for This Week
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18 NASB
This Week, Let’s Pray
Lord, please draw near to those who are living with chronic pain. Give them comfort in their bodies, peace in their minds, and rest for their weary spirits. Help them feel seen when others do not understand. Give wisdom to their doctors, patience to their loved ones, and strength for each day.
Please ease the weight of guilt, frustration, and loneliness. Remind them that their worth is not measured by productivity, energy, or how much they can push through. Surround them with people who listen well, believe them, and offer support without judgment.
Lord, we also lift up the people of Venezuela. Please comfort those who are grieving. Protect those who are trapped, injured, displaced, or afraid. Strengthen the rescue workers and medical teams. Bring help quickly where it is needed most. Provide shelter, food, clean water, medical care, and steady hands for the long recovery ahead.
And Lord, teach the rest of us to notice the quiet battles and the visible disasters. Help us become people who bring gentleness instead of pressure, compassion instead of assumptions, and prayer that leads to care.
Amen.
If you live with chronic pain, how can we pray for you this week?
If your heart is with the people of Venezuela, please join us in praying for comfort, rescue, provision, and healing.
